TheTu-134UBL, a "flying desk" for the Long Rannge Aviation pilots, was developed on the basis of the well-known Tu-134 airlines. First flight occurred in 1981; mass production at Kharkov Aviation Plant ender in 1984.
The aircraft is fitted with avionics and equipment matching those of the Tu-22, Tu-160 and Tu-95MS bomber. There are 12 seats for students, who can be tough simuitaneously. For training purposes the Tu-134UBL can carry some weaponry items under the fuselage.
